EPIC Seed Savers Dandenong Ranges
What is a Local Seed Savers Network? (LSSN)
The purpose of a not for profit local seed savers network is to maintain genetic diversity of local seed, and encourage and educate local growers to collect and share this valuable resource in an enjoyable activity that everybody can undertake. Everyone in the community can be involved in collection, learning about and sharing of seeds. A local Seed Savers Network group ensures good storage of local seed collections, ensuring that a wide variety of heirloom, non-genetically modified, and open pollinated seeds are retained within the bio-region.
Who can be in the network?
Anyone who has an interest in seeds, growing, seed collection and sharing, or who would like to learn about seeds. Membership of the EPIC Seed Savers Group is automatic upon becoming a member of EPIC. To become a member of the group, fill out the membership form on our Membership Page.
